Alacrity Foundation announce partnership with Swansea University Entrepreneurs Network

Thursday the 9th of November saw the beginning of a relationship which we are hopeful will bear fruit for many years to come.

Jackson Pickard, founder, president (and 2nd year student!) of the Entrepreneurs Network at Swansea University met with Guy Wendon, Head of Business Development at The Alacrity Foundation.  We had a productive meeting following up on our initial introduction at the Swansea Employability Academy Careers Fair in October.

In the wake of that meeting, as both organisations continued to innovate and create new events for entrepreneurs across Wales, emails continued to flow.  Following the Alacrity Foundations recent collaboration with Tech Dragons (also run by a Swansea University Student Nicholas Fearn) I believe a three-tiered collaborative event to kick off the blossoming partnership would be a great spectacle for entrepreneurs from across Swansea; a chance for like-minded people to come together and enjoy an evening of inspiration and networking at the beginning of the festive period.  This has now been confirmed for December 6th at the TechHub café on Swansea’s high street.

The Entrepreneurs Network is delighted to be partnering with The Alacrity Foundation to run several events throughout the current and following semester. The first event will be on the 6th of December and will be hosted in Tech Hub in Swansea city centre.

This will create a perfect backdrop for the event and hopefully see a great chance for members to network with those already very active in the business scene in Swansea.

Following on from the event some comments from Jackson Pickard:

Our aim for the Entrepreneurs Network is to build a community and a platform for our members, to be able to partner for events and raise the profile of the Alacrity Foundation’s amazing scheme to our members, a class of bright and emerging entrepreneurs we hope that this partnership will see our members flourish from the start up scene we are trying to create here in Swansea and seize great opportunities on offer to them to further enhance their entrepreneurial journey. Through our work, we are trying to provide a platform offering all that a start-up entrepreneur could need, a partnership with alacrity provides the potential for our members next step once they become Network alumni.”
